ODEP sponsored the “Health Care: Career Trends, Best Practices & Call-To-Action Summit” at Access Living in Chicago on Tuesday, May 17. It was an opportunity for Secretary Solis and ODEP Assistant Secretary Kathy Martinez to build strategic alliances and sustainable partnerships with industry leaders in order to achieve more widespread adoption and implementation of initiatives for employing people with disabilities. “We want to encourage the health care industry to include individuals with disabilities in educational and training programs,” said Solis. “They can be capable and caring health care providers.”
